BGG World (BGG) and its subsidiary Algae Health Sciences (AHS) have announced the completion of a critical capacity expansion of their state-of-the-art, 100% glass tube photobioreactor microalgae farm. The facility is now the world’s biggest Astaxanthin farm in the world. This expansion has doubled BSG’s Astaxanthin production capacity and will meet customers’ demands for the next three to five years. Afterward, BGG will utilize its adjacent land for expansion.
The company completed the expansion over the last 18 months despite various challenges brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. “At BGG, we never want to leave any customer with unfulfilled or late orders, and we rarely do,” explained Chunhua Li, Chairman, and Founder of BGG World.
“This expansion of capacity for our flagship AstaZine® Natural Astaxanthin product line should keep our customers happy and their orders filled into the second half of this decade,” added Bob Capelli, Algae Health Sciences CEO. The company will continue to lead the Astaxanthin market with ongoing clinical research and apply capacity expansion strategies to stay ahead of demand.
