The Global Organization for EPA and DHA Omega-3s (GOED) has published the 2021 edition of its annual Global EPA and DHA Omega-3 Ingredient Market Report. The report details the entire EPA and DHA omega-3 industry at the raw materials segment of the supply chain, a 110,802 metric ton (mT) market. Volume increased slightly (1.0%) in 2020, while the value of omega-3 ingredients increased 3.6%, to US$1.4 MM. Of particular interest this year is an analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on a variety of omega-3 market factors.
This year’s report includes over 100 charts and tables detailing the volume and value of omega-3 sources, regions and end product applications in 2020, with forecasts through 2023. The accompanying Excel document includes all the raw data as well as a forecast generator tool.
