In April 2021, Nascent Health Sciences celebrated its tenth anniversary. During this time, the company announced that it was unveiling a new corporate identity and strategic vision. “In introducing a new Nascent, we’re looking to reflect the evolution of our business and to improve the accessibility and serviceability of our products for tomorrow’s needs,” said Michael Chen, Managing Director, Nascent Health Sciences.
“Nascent is progressing to become a full-service solutions provider – offering not only a portfolio of innovative ingredients but also formulation and consultation services for quick and cost effective ways to market. In partnering with our manufacturing customers to achieve sugar reduction objectives with clean labels, our added-value advisory services have helped differentiate our business from traditional ingredient trading companies. We want the new Nascent brand to reflect the full scope of solutions we have to offer,” he added.
The efforts comprise a new logo and a refreshment of the website. The new logo juxtaposes two shapes with a green and blue colored leaf and a red and yellow colored molecule. “We felt like our brand’s visual identity needed to reflect the intersection of technology and nature. As a company, we pride ourselves on studying the alchemy of nature to inspire organic, sustainable, and safe development of health-promoting ingredients,” Chen explained.
In its ten years, Nascent’s flagship brands have emerged as global category leaders in the commercial food, nutraceutical, pharmaceutical, beverage, and personal care mark. SoPureTM is a trademark family of stevia products that include high-purity single glycoside leaf extracts and a curated assortment of mixed glycosides. PureQQ® Pyrroloquinoline Quinone, the only FDA Affirmed GRAS PQQ, is a high-performance micronutrient applied in dietary supplements, foods, beverages, and other nutritional products. Chen further elucidated that, “As a part of the new strategic direction, we are launching two key portfolios of ingredient solutions. Due to the success of SoPureTM and PureQQ®, sugar reduction and cellular health will be our core portfolio identities. These new platforms allow us to reach a broader market opportunity.”
Additionally, Nascent’s sweeteners portfolio focuses on sugar reduction offerings, including monk fruit extract, erythritol, sorbitol, xylitol, isomalto oligosaccharide, fructo oligosaccharide inulin, polydextrose, methylcellulose, and many others. Apart from PureQQ®, the Nascent health supplements portfolio majors on ingredients that improve cellular nutrition and mitochondrial health, including inositol, resveratrol, ALA, astaxanthin, choline, natural caffeine, and supplement vitamins biotin, ascorbic acid, and B12.
The new website specifies the consultation process for potential partners and clients. Furthermore, Nascent provides education and training to its customers, including onsite training and speaking at industry events to accelerate innovation and optimize supply chains for operational efficiency. “At Nascent, we’re dedicated to producing ingredients and formulations that meet the product innovation needs of our manufacturing customers while empowering consumers to pursue healthy lifestyles,” Chen said.
